TOPIC: FAITH THAT WORKS

TEXT:          Heb. 11:1-end

M/V: Heb. 6:12 “That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”

 

AIM: Reaching out by taking positive step unto our heart desire.

 

INTRODUCTION:

 By strength shall no man prevail, God created us to rely on Him on every aspect of our life, but as human we have gone on our own to do things for ourselves, which is not the main purpose of God creating us Gen. 1:26-28. For as many as received Him to them gave He power to become the sons and daughter of God, even to them that believe on his name. John 1:12

           

POINT TO LOOK OUT

Possible hindrance to our inheritance

Ø Doubt. Rom. 14:23

Ø Fear. Heb. 2:15

Ø Disobedient. Rom. 5:19; Eph. 5:1-7`

Our responsibility to possess faith that works

Ø Pay attention to the word of God. Rom. 10:17; Prov. 2:1-2

Ø Receive Christ Jesus as the Lord of our life. John 1:12; 2cor. 5:7; Eph. 2:8

Ø Act on the word of God. Matt. 21:21; Luke 17:6

What faith can do

Ø Faith can do all things. Heb. 11:6; Rom. 4:5

 

CONCLUSION:

God’s creation of the world was by faith, calling forth those things which were not as though they were and they become. That is why he wants us to look upon Him in all things and to take the big step unto whatever we want, sin has reproached us from the intension of God upon our lives. We need to look up to Jesus as our Lord and act like great men of God in Heb. 11, so as to inherit the promise of God in our time. Work by faith and not by sight
