From Prophesy to Manifestation

Elijah was a man with a nature like ours and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.

And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruits. James 5:17-18.

Every prophesy or promises from God must be prayed through. It must become flesh from the realm of the spirit to the realm of physical manifestation.

Someone said ‘’every success in life is a prayer success’’ how true!

The genesis of the text taken above is 1 king 18:41-46 where God’s servant Elijah had said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink, for there is the sound of abundance of rain”.

Guess what the prophet did after the declaration? he went to pray. He did not say because God had spoken, he won’t pray. He went to pray.

Ahab the king went up to eat and drink and Elijah went up to the top of Carmel to pray. (1kings 18:42).

Six times he sent his servant to go out and check if the word spoken had become reality. Six times the servant came back with “No it has not happened”, but guess what? he never stopped praying, he never stopped believing God for the Miraculous. But the story changed the Seventh time. You see brothers and sisters, quitters don’t win, and winners don’t quit. The servant came back with the positive report the seventh time.

The Bible says ‘The righteous will fall seven times and rise again’. (Proverbs 24:16).

I wonder what would have happened if the prophet had given up after the second, third or fourth time. The prophesy and the promise of rain from God through Elijah would not have been fulfilled at least not when it did.

The Key word here is don’t give up. You must not stop fighting for it until it comes through.

Life is all about fighting, that’s all we do here on earth, we fight. If you don’t fight for it you don’t get it. How bad do you really need your needs met?

As a matter of fact, in life it is either you are waiting in fighting or you are giving up in despair. Mathew 11:12.says…’’and from the day of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence and the violent take it by force’’ If you quit, you lose out you would not lose out in Jesus’ Name.

In our story, Elijah did not give up. He simply refused to give-up.

Job 14:14 says; if a man dies shall he live again? Everyday of my hard service I will wait for my change to come.

Every time the man of God or woman of God declares to us that it’s our year of……. Or month of……, they are simply telling us what treasure God has deposited into our heavenly accounts so its left for you and me to bring to the planet Earth with our prayers and faith.

For seven times Elijah’s servant kept saying I saw nothing. I ask you, what do you see, rain or nothing?

For seven times to you may mean for seven days or for seven months, or for seven years, for yet another person it may be for seventeen or more years. God has promised but it has not come through.

My advise, don’t give up. Someone has to give up, either you or the devil, but you should not. Why shouldn’t you? Bible says greater is God that is in you than the devil that is in the world (1 John 4:4).

In this world, it is either you are quitting or you are holding on but how do you hold on if not in prayers. In Luke 18- Jesus says Men (& women) always ought to pray and not lose heart.

The visions that God has given you or your dreams would at best remain a mirage without prayers. Another name for prayer is power, no prayer no power, small prayers small power, big prayer  big power. Every Human being including Christian and non Christian will go through problems, as a matter of fact problems and the way it is handled is what separate men from boys. Like Jehoshaphat in II Chronicles 20. Problems should move us closer to God.

Bible says men ought always to pray, not men ought always to complain, not men ought always to murmur.

Pray brethren or you will become a prey. Please’ ’PUSH’’ Pray Until Something Happens.

If you don’t pray, you lose out completely. You will not lose out completely in Jesus’ name.

Once God told me that the Church has gone through so much bashing and attacks from Satan, but the church keeps growing and extending, why? Bible tells us Jesus never stops praying and interceding for the church. If you will not stop praying on that matter, it is a matter of time you will laugh last.

Hear this, the decline in the growth of the so called world powers started when prayers and Bible readings are removed from their National programmes and their School Curriculum. Have you not heard? That the river that forgets its source will dry up, it’s a matter of time.

Technological and Educational advancement as good and beautiful as they are will not bind devils and put it where it belongs. Without prayers and the word of God, Education and Technology at best will only help to rationalize devil’s activities and get innocent people stranded forever. You will not be stranded again in Jesus name.

Even if your back is right on the ground, as long as you will not keep quite, you will get up.

Why do you think Fountain of Life Church and all its affiliated outreaches are waxing great everyday in spite of all the Enemy’s attacks? It is because amongst other things, our Senior Pastor and the entire house will not stop praying, and the good news is God hears every time we his children pray.

There is a Spirit of prayer today like never before. You will catch that spirit in Jesus’ mighty name.
